The concept of the SIAA alliance began in 1983 with the creation of the first Master Agency – Satellite Agency Network Group (SAN Group). Smaller independent agencies kept running into roadblocks because of their size, low commissions and access to competitive companies. The idea was to create a Master Agency to help grow these agencies’ reach and profitability.
In 1995, after SAN Group proved it could give smaller agencies a larger reach, a group of insurance executives and consultants wanted to repeat this success. Together, they formed a pilot program and worked to lay the foundation of what would become SIAA.
Independent agencies have repeatedly demonstrated the ability to produce profitable insurance business. The key is for those agencies to have the same access to competitive markets and resources that larger agencies and direct writers do.
ANK and SIAA have formed unique partnerships with leading insurance companies and vendors to facilitate that access. These partnerships differentiate us from the typical aggregators and clusters that are in the marketplace.
